This is another picture I posted on my Facebook wall, which got some attention.
I love that picture because in one single image it so brilliantly summarizes success.
How many times have you dreamt about your success? How many times have you imagined how your life would be if you were successful? And how many times were you sleeping when it happened?!
Success does not happen in your sleep (even if it can start in your dreams). In reality, it happens in your day-to-day life, and for that you must be awake. You must face what it means and you must be willing to do what it takes. You’ve heard it many times, from different people, and it’s a fact, not a myth.
How many times have you said I can’t afford to get help? Well, this is going to sound very direct, but if you can’t afford to get help, it means you can’t afford to succeed, it’s as simple as that!
So, let me define for you how success looks like when you get bitten by the bug:
- Success is a way of life.
- It’s a driving force that you CANNOT put to one side even if you wanted to.
- It’s a burning desire to reach a destination, no matter how hard and twisting the road may be.
- It’s a feeling that you cannot contain even if your heart aches.
- It’s a force that you cannot tame no matter how hard you try.
- It’s an engine that pushes you always further and that NOBODY can stop!
This is what success is all about…
It’s not a dream, it’s not a fantasy, it’s not a wish, it’s not an idea… it’s stronger than anything you can ever fathom. It fills your mind, your heart, your body with an amazing feeling of fulfillment. Nothing compares to what a successful business can bring to your life.
So, imagine for an instant that you agree with me…what kind of help would you need?
First and foremost, be honest with yourself, look at your skills, look at what you do every day, where do you struggle the most? What do you need to fix ‘yesterday’ to make a real difference in your business, to your life, to your bank account?
The first thing I always recommend is to hire a coach, but that’s only a part of what you need. If you really want to invest in a coach, be ready to hire a Technical VA, otherwise you’ll only pile up the strategies your coach is teaching you, ‘hoping’ that one day a miracle will happen to enable you to implement each piece. Well, hope is not a strategy for success, it’s only an insidious way of maintaining an ‘unhealthy’ and ‘un-wealthy’ status quo.
Second of all, believe in yourself, why would you be less worthy of success than anybody else? This doesn’t make any sense. Get bitten by the bug! Enjoy the bliss of the ride, and trust your strengths. Feel the force running through your blood as you move closer to your goal.
Give yourself the authorization you are seeking to say ‘Yes, I want to run a successful business’ then surf on the wave to the top.
