My daughter’s present for Christmas this year was Adele’s new album. Yes I love her, I love her songs, I love her attitude…well, I guess you get my point. I’m a fan!
So why am I talking about Adele? What does that have to do with your business? In fact, more than you think. You see Adele is a great model for us entrepreneurs. She started out with nothing…sang that ‘We could have had it all’….then WON it all!!!!
What’s behind words like, could, should, will and did? Mindsets!
Do you think that Adele could have gone from ‘a nobody, unknown, unrecognized talent’ to ‘Grammy Awards full winner’ if she didn’t have the right mindset? With all the talent she’s got, without a powerful mindset and the willingness to take action…. today Adele would be just one more talented London girl among many others.
If a young girl from London can make it that big in such a challenging industry and in a foreign country on top of that, so can you in your business!
Now did Adele only dream about her success? She probably dreamed about it, but she also did something else to take her to where she is right now. She took ACTION! Powerful ones, I should say and she got HELP!
Having the right mindsets and taking powerful actions are prerequisites to your success, but you know what, if you don’t know which actions, in what order and how to put them all together so you actually achieve results, well, you have nothing!
Now if you recall, Adele was helped by a friend who placed her demo song on Myspace. This is how she got picked up by a record company. How can you translate that into your business? That wonderful friend could very well be your coach, or a partner in a Joint Venture. The record company could be an event to which you are invited to speak. It could also be one person to help you out with your site, for example, so you can focus on singing… oh, oops, I mean on serving your clients! You see the comparison is easy.
